The stake is denotative of the relationship with God.It is vertical.The cord is the horizontal relationship with mankind.

Is it not amazing that the height between you and God is constant.Little wonder  the Word says that yoy  strengthens your stake, not lengthen your stake.Increase in length can only come between mankind when strength comes between  you and God.
